I was hopping on the highway and tore apart my SC belt. Upon closer inspection my alternator belt is tattered, and the AC belt has a tear in it. My JRSC has only been in for about 2 months. Admittedly, I drive this thing like it's stolen, but that seems like abnormally fast wear on a belt. Is this a common problem with the JRSC or is there something wrong?
Until the new belt arrives, is there something I can do to make it drivable? It wont rev over 4k now which makes this GSR a complete dog.

You can buy belts at any shop, they don't have to come from JR. Just make sure you have the right sizes, and also the right number of ribs.
It maybe you had the belts on too tight.

it was still drivable, in fact i'm very glad that it was as i had to drive an hour to get the car home. easy highway cruising though. severely crippled however, the car wont rev over 4500 rpm. i think that if i zip tie the bypass valve open it would free up the airflow and fix that temporarily. i'm not that concerned about it as i'm not going to be driving it until the new belts arrive. the timing on this is actually quite good. i'm awaiting my kamikaze header, my lower tie bar, and need to install my AFR and boost guages. I might as well do it all at once. I'm also having a problem with my O2 sensor, and the system registering as running rich. Basically I'm in need of some serious tuning. I have a shop that does great work, but I'm growing skeptical of their ability to tune my system. Any recommendations in the Bay Area????
